A ChatToPdf alternative that keeps your chat on your device
Several services turn WhatsApp exports into PDFs. The biggest difference between them isn’t the layout: it’s whether you have to hand your private conversation to someone else’s server to get it.
Upload services versus in-browser
Upload-based converters, ChatToPdf among them, ask you to send your exported chat to their servers and email the PDF back. According to its directory listings in October 2026, ChatToPdf charges per chat, roughly $15 to $60 depending on the tier, and deletes files after processing. That can work well, but your conversation, photos included, leaves your device and is handled by a company you have to trust.
ChatBundle takes the other route. The page loads once, then reads the export and builds the PDF in your browser. A strict security policy stops the page sending your chat anywhere, which you can check in your browser’s developer tools. There’s no account and no email step: the PDF downloads straight away.

When an upload service might suit you better
If you want someone else to handle everything, or need a format ChatBundle doesn’t make, a service may be the right choice. Read its privacy policy first, and ask how long it keeps your files and who can see them.
Questions
Is ChatBundle cheaper per chat?
For one chat, a 7-day pass is £9.99 and covers as many PDFs as you like in that week, including re-doing a chat with different dates. For regular use, the 30-day pass is £39 with no per-chat charge.
Can I see the result before paying?
Yes. Open your export and every message shows in the preview, numbered, for free. You can also download a watermarked PDF of the first 100 messages to check the layout.
Does ChatBundle work for chats in other languages?
Yes. It reads exports from phones set to any language, and draws names and messages in Arabic, Hebrew, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi and other scripts, plus emoji.
Make the PDF now. Drop your export on ChatBundle, check the free preview of every message, then download a numbered PDF with a cover sheet, media index and fingerprint. Nothing is uploaded.
