How it works
Export the chat
In WhatsApp, open the chat and choose Export chat. Include media if you want the attachments listed and shown. Step-by-step for iPhone and Android.
Drop it here
ChatBundle reads the file in your browser, fingerprints it with SHA-256 and shows every message, numbered. Narrow it down by dates and people.
Download the PDF
A4, text-searchable and bookmarked by month: cover sheet, numbered messages, media index and a page explaining how to check the fingerprint.
Why not screenshots?
Screenshots of a long thread run to hundreds of pages, overlap, miss messages and lose the dates. A family barrister put it plainly: screenshotting long threads “increases page count, is difficult to follow and often features duplication or missed bits”.
An export has every message with its date, time and sender. ChatBundle lays it out so a judge, a solicitor or the other side can find message #1,204 on the page it says it’s on.
Your chat stays on your device
Read in the browser
The export is opened by code running in this tab. There’s no upload step because there’s nothing to upload to.
Locked down
A strict security policy stops the page sending data anywhere except our licence and page-count servers, and neither is ever sent anything from your chat.
Nothing kept
Close the tab and the chat is gone from ChatBundle. The only things stored in your browser are your pass key and a random ID for it.

Questions
Is my chat uploaded anywhere?
No. ChatBundle reads the export inside your browser and builds the PDF there too. The page’s security policy only lets it talk to its own server (for fonts) and to our licence and page-count servers, and none of those ever receive anything from your chat. You can watch the network tab in your browser’s developer tools while you use it.
Will a court accept the PDF?
ChatBundle can’t promise that, and nobody honest can: it’s up to the judge, and to the directions in your case. What it gives you is the layout courts and solicitors tend to ask for: every message numbered, dated and attributed, page numbers, an index of attachments and a fingerprint of the original export, in a text-searchable A4 PDF with bookmarks. If you have a solicitor, ask them how they want evidence presented.
Which exports does it read?
The .zip or .txt that WhatsApp’s “Export chat” makes, from iPhone or Android, in any language and with 12 or 24-hour times. If WhatsApp put attachments in the zip, ChatBundle lists each one with its own fingerprint and can show images in the PDF. Group chats work too.
What do the message numbers mean?
Each message is numbered by its place in the export file, so #1 is the first message in the export. Filtering by date or sender doesn’t renumber anything, and the PDF marks where messages were left out. That way everyone can refer to the same message by the same number.
What is the SHA-256 fingerprint for?
It identifies the exact export file the PDF was made from. Anyone with the original file can calculate its fingerprint (the PDF’s last page says how, on Windows, Mac or Linux) and check it matches. If a single byte of the file were different, the fingerprint would be completely different.
Does it include everything in the chat?
It includes everything in the export. WhatsApp itself limits exports: according to WhatsApp’s help centre, an export holds up to the most recent 40,000 messages, or 10,000 if you include media. Some chats have “Advanced chat privacy” switched on, which stops anyone exporting them at all.
What does the free version do?
You can open any export, preview every message and filter it as much as you like. The free PDF has the first 100 selected messages with a watermark, so you can check the layout before paying.
How do passes work?
A pass is a one-off payment, not a subscription. The 7-day pass is £9.99 and the 30-day pass is £39; both give unlimited full PDFs until they end. You get a licence key on the payment page and by email, and it works in up to three browsers. Buying again adds the time to the same key.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If ChatBundle didn’t work for you, email admin@onibaku.co.uk within 14 days of buying and we’ll refund you.
Is this legal advice?
No. ChatBundle formats a chat export into a document. It doesn’t tell you what to include, whether a message helps your case, or how to file it. For that, speak to a solicitor, or look at Support Through Court or Advocate if you’re representing yourself.
